About NEO Spine & Sport

NEO Spine & Sport is recognized throughout Northeast Ohio for its successful programs dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of injuries associated with sports and athletics. Whether you are a weekend, school age, or professional athlete, injuries can limit performance, or put you on the sidelines as a spectator. The mission of the NEO Spine & Sport is to provide total care – from treating injuries to optimal healthfulness, and returning all patients to an active lifestyle as quickly and safely as possible.


Dr. Tim Keyes

Dr. Tim Keyes, D.C. is a 2004 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. He owns and operates NEO Spine and Sport in Solon, Ohio. Dr. Keyes deals with both joint and soft tissue injury using multiple techniques, which include chiropractic adjustments and Active Release Techniques. He feels his accomplishments through athletic events help him both diagnose and treat many sports injuries. He has raced in several events, which include 7 marathons and 4 Ironman triathlons. Dr. Keyes is the Team Sports Chiropractor for the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League. He also had the opportunity in 2012 to travel to the London Olympic games as the personal doctor for the US women’s gold medal pole vaulter.


Dr. Tommy Murtaugh

Dr. Tommy Murtaugh, DC is a native of Chagrin Falls where he was involved in multiple sports.  Tommy continued to play football at John Carroll University while he earned his bachelor’s in exercise science. As a starter on the defensive line, he helped lead the Bluestreaks to the NCAA semi-finals. During his sophomore year at JCU Tommy was introduced to Dr. Tim Keyes and they immediately connected.  This connection helped guide Tommy’s chiropractic career.  Tommy shadowed NEO Spine and Sport intermittently during his breaks from school and served as a chiropractic intern in his final semester.

Dr. Murtaugh graduated from D’Youville College as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Tommy also holds certifications in Active Release Techniques and Dry Needling.

In his free time, Dr. Murtaugh works as an assistant coach for the Chagrin Falls football team, aiding with strength/conditioning and defensive line. Tommy also partners with Fleet Feet in Pepper Pike to offer promotional treatment to their active community.


Tara Dawson

Tara Dawson is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is an ART practitioner, certified in the upper extremity and spine regions of the body. Additionally, Tara has training in Myofascial Release, Peripheral Nerve Disorders, and Sports Massage. 

Tara has extensive experience working with patients who are being treated with Lumbar Decompression equipment. Massage aids in the treatment and healing of disc herniations, disc bulges, and slipped discs. Tara has practiced the art of massage for 21 years. She has had the pleasure of working beside Dr. Keyes for the past 13 years. Tara also works with various grammy awarding musicians and professional athletes.
